Dunlop “Great & British” Festivals at Brands Hatch
- 2 October 2007

Last meeting of the Championship
This weekend – 6/7 October, sees the Dunlop Radical Enduro and Dunlop Radical Biduro Championships at Brands Hatch Circuit for the last two rounds of each championship for 2007.

The titles of Radical Biduro Champion 2007 and Radical Enduro Champion 2007 have still to be decided.

In the Biduro Championship John Hewitt leads Toby Newton by only 13 points and Toby is ahead of Ross Allen by 29 points.  Nick Adcock just 4 points behind Ross Allen.  There are 64 points up for grabs (that’s 30 for a first place plus 1 extra for a pole position and another 1 for setting the fastest race lap in each race) so the Championship is set to go “down to the wire”.

In the Enduro championship there are three titles to be decided – Class SR8, Class SR3 and overall Enduro Champion(s).

Class SR8 has been pretty much dominated this season by the pairing of Richard Ince and Austin Kinsella (336 points) but hot on their heels is rookie driver Derek Johnston (303) with his driving partner and seasoned racecar driver Stuart Moseley.  These are the cars/drivers to watch for the class and overall honours.  Third place in Class SR8 will be decided between Austin Reynolds/Nick Padmore (203), Jacob Greaves (189) and Nick Dove/Phil Abbott (182).

Class SR3 would seem to have been decided already with Anthony Dunn and Barry Gates leading by a 23 point margin but as we have seen throughout the season – once on track anything can happen.  Team-mates Philip Bailey and Bradley Ellis are well placed to take second place honours but with teenage star James Harrison taking top step of the podium on every race he has entered this could well “put the cat amongst the pigeons”.

Action at Brands starts on Saturday at 9:00am with the Biduro test session with both Enduro races and both Biduro races on Sunday.

Tickets are £12 on the gate for all persons over the age of 12.
