The Radical UK Cup and Radical Club Cup journey north this weekend to Croft Circuit for the next two rounds of the Dunlop “Great & British” Festivals.

With over 50 cars entered for the races the grids are at record levels.

The Radical Club Cup seems to have struck a chord with Radical owners all over the UK from seasoned owner/drivers to complete novices – a full grid of 30 cars are entered for their races at Croft on Saturday June 14th.

Jonathon Wright, PR6, unbeaten at Snetterton a few weeks ago will battle with the SR3’s of Paul Steele, Simon Tilling, Simon Fish and Bill Henderson.  Brand new to the Radical Club Cup is Chris Grieve – 2006/2007 Legends Champion.  Local boy Chris will be hoping to be mixing it up front of his home crowd.

Also new to the Club Cup for Croft are Darren Anley, Sheridan Bell – both Prosport drivers, and Jon Watson in his winged Clubsport.

David Banham will be making his racing debut at Croft  in the Radical Club Cup in his SR4, and on Sunday in the Radical UK Cup with co-driver and coach Nigel Greensall in an SR5.

Richard Fearns will be taking delivery of his second SR8 on Friday and will be racing on Sunday in the Radical UK Cup.

Another returnee to the championship making his maiden SR8 voyage at Croft, is 2002 Enduro Champion Ziad El Akabi who will have his brother, Ragdan co-driving.

Brand new to Radical racing is Brazil’s Adriano Gemignali (Senior Instructor at Palmersport) with absolute beginner Charles Loughram driving a  Mansol Motorsport run SR3.  Adriano and Charles plan to take their racing right to the very top with plans to be at Le Mans by 2011.

With full hospitality available and a Hog Roast and five-a-side football tournament on Saturday evening, the Croft meeting is all set to be a winner.
