Due to continued growth of its global distributor and dealer network, and with new exciting products in the pipeline, Radical Sportscars is looking to expand its marketing team with the appointment of a Head of Global Marketing.

Radical are now one of the largest producers of racing and track cars in the world selling over 2,500 cars globally in the past two decades.  To sell that many racing cars the package has to be thrilling, dramatic and huge fun to drive.

But the Radical philosophy extends much wider than just high-performance race cars. A championship portfolio at the best race circuits in the world provides thrilling and highly competitive racing for all customers.

Radical sells its product range to high net worth individuals through an independent network of dealers. Radical’s current 30-strong Sales and Aftersales Network spans from Nevada to Sydney via Continental Europe, the Middle East and Asia.  Over 90% of the cars produced are exported from the UK and are sold through Radical’s dealer partners. 

Job Description

We are looking for a creative and strategic Head of Marketing to lead the delivery of the annual marketing strategy.  You will play a key role in planning, developing, and executing all marketing, PR and communication activity across a range of online and offline channels.

This is a role for someone who is strategic in their thinking but will want to be hands-on in the execution of marketing activities.

In this role you’ll be the lead in developing Radical’s event and multi-channel communication strategies to increase brand awareness and support our 30-strong international dealer base, showcasing the thrilling world of Radical Sportscars’ line of world-beating Sports Prototype race cars, its on-track activity and global network of Radical Racing series. You’ll be working in close relationship with the Sales, Motorsport and Works race team to oversee Radical’s HQ and dealer-supported marketing communications.

This role would suit a senior marketeer with experience or an interest in Motorsport looking to join a small and agile team in an exciting period of expansion.  Experience of working with dealer networks would be beneficial.  Travel should be expected, along with some weekend and out-of-hours work.

As Head of Global Marketing, you'll need to:

  • Execute engaging marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness, generate leads and grow customer prospect engagement.
  • Position and market the Radical brand in a premium context in the motorsport segment.
  • Develop Radical’s products and community engagement in the virtual and simulator segments.
  • Lead merchandise and licensing activity to drive brand awareness.
  • Develop and manage the annual marketing strategy in line with core business objectives.
  • Manage the annual marketing budget spend.
  • Champion the commercial benefits of marketing activities and demonstrate return on investment of all initiatives.
  • Act as a brand guardian across all channels. Ensure all marketing initiatives promote the right message to the right target market and position the brand correctly.


Desired Skills and Expertise

Essential criteria:

  • Proven experience in a senior marketing position (experience or an interest in Motorsport is essential).
  • Strategic mind set, but still enjoy getting heavily involved with the execution and deployment of marketing activities.
  • Analytical mindset, using commercial insights to drive performance.
  • Excellent communications skill and be able to build relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to travel and work some weekends.
     

Salary range: TBC dependent on experience
