Radical Challenge Championship

The Radical Challenge Championship was born out of the previous UK series to offer a more diverse racing weekend than ever before at an even more competitive price.

Large grids and close racing ensured that the Radical Challenge is the most hotly-contested domestic sportscar series.

The 2017 Radical Challenge Championship incorporates:

SR1 Challenge

  • Aimed at graduates of Radical’s SR1 Cup rookie-to-racer championship
  • SR1 racers looking to expand their race experience
  • Open to standard 1340cc SR1 Cup specification cars with the Challenge upgrade package of dry-sump oil system, rear diffuser and slick tyres

Team Challenge

  • Allows for two drivers to share one car
  • Open to SR3
  • Ideal for Pro/Am entries or dual-Am pairings

Solo Challenge

  • Open to single drivers in the SR3

2017 Races Highlights

The Radical Challenge Championship is a thrilling mix of sprint and endurance races at the UK’s leading circuits

  • Majority of UK race events take place over a single day of racing, allowing drivers to race and time to spend with the family on the same weekend
  • Each race day features a split qualifying session, two fast-paced 20-minute standing-start sprint races and a 40-minute endurance finale, incorporating a mandatory pit-stop for all classes
  • Visits premier UK circuits including Brands Hatch and Donington Park, as well as two current F1TM circuits, Silverstone and the headline ‘Radical Festival’ overseas round at Spa-Francorchamps
  • Teams can contest one of the challenges within the main championship, with the highest overall scoring driver/team also scooping the 2017 Radical Challenge Championship title
  • Support from Radicals trackside spares and technical support
  • Hospitality at all events

All this alongside the same great package of promotion and support offered as part of Radical’s racing ladder, in partnership with Motorsport Vision Racing. Selected rounds offer television coverage on Radical TV, Radical’s on-demand web TV service, as well as extensive social media and promotional opportunities elsewhere. Radical’s legendary trackside spares and technical support continues into 2017; why race anywhere else?
