UK: Radical Rapture and SR10 join Supercar Driver's Secret Supercar Meet at Donington Park

Back to the news

Supercar Driver's Secret Supercar Meet descended on England's Donington Park circuit in August to deliver one of the most incredible spectacles seen anywhere in the automotive world. Hundreds of supercars and hypercars spanning the entire spectrum of the type gathered on an otherwise ordinary Tuesday morning, creating a photo opportunity quite unlike anything else in the country.

For the first time, two models from the Radical Sportscars range joined the fray - the roadgoing, track-ready Radical Rapture, and the new turbocharged Radical SR10.

The Radical Rapture, with its 365-bhp turbocharged EcoBoost engine and low 700kg kerb weight, made an ideal entrant in the roadcar track day sessions, with passenger rides on offer for attendees on the day.

The Radical presence was bolstered by the appearance of the Radical SR10, the 425-bhp track-only sports prototype racing car currently setting records and winning races around the globe. The display car made its appearance before being freighted to Radical's Californian dealer, Radical Northwest.

The track sessions were non-competitive and untimed, marking a change of pace for Radical's driver, who is typically used to chasing tenths of seconds at every possible track opportunity. But that's missing the point of the Secret Supercar Meet, which is purely a celebration of the supercar and hypercar.
