Over 30 Radical distributors from across the globe united at Silverstone, the home of British motorsport, last week for the inaugural Radical Dealer Conference.
Attracting both long-standing and recently signed partners, the conference welcomed delegates from all four corners of the world, including Australia, Canada, Caribbean, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong and Macau, Iberia, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, and the USA.
The conference’s main mission was to scope out Radical’s global vision in the company’s 21st anniversary year, while embracing the opportunity to network, share ideas and discuss challenges facing the automotive and motorsport industries as a whole.
Moving from the Silverstone Wing to the British Racing Drivers’ Club (BRDC) Clubhouse for the evening, the Radical Dealer Awards were staged for the very first time.
The award for Best Sales 2018 went to Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, collected by Tom Drewer, Radical Sales Manager US. Radical China won the Best After Sales category while Dealer of the Year was presented to Francesco D’Avola from Team Stradale.
Hosted by motorsport presenter Alan Hyde, the day was topped off by an evening with former Formula One driver, best-selling author and original BBC Top Gear ‘Stig’ Perry McCarthy, sharing many amusing anecdotes from his best-selling book, ‘Flat Out Flat Broke’.
Joe Anwyll, Radical CEO, commented: “The inaugural global Radical Dealer Conference was an outstanding success. I was wonderful to have so many of our family from across the world come together as a united community and network for the first time in a constructive way.
“It was a special moment to present our first Dealer Awards. There were so many worthy contenders from across our 30 dealers that it was very difficult to pick the winners, but my congratulations go to Spring Mountain, Radical China and Team Stradale.
“The feedback we have received from our dealers has been amazingly positive, and it’s delightful to hear that everyone wants more of the same next year. We can only become stronger together, both as a network and a united team.
